Meow...Comot dalam Kenangan

Comot is the cat that survived all the odds...found in a drain near Seremban market by Wan Rantau. He stayed in Ma's kampung in Rantau for just over 2 years. One day he just took off and never came back. Maybe it got into the belly of a snake or perhaps got poisoned...nobody knows.

So here are pics of 'Comot' for memories sake...

Standing proud...but a little camera shy?

Sharp hearing and always alert

His favourite lookout post...at the steps

Looking out for birds?

...or just day dreaming?

Very particular about cleanliness

Mmmm...satisfaction after a meal

A little shut eye...afternoon nap

Lying down is more comfortable

Again...signs of alertness

Today, a replacement has taken Comot's place in Ma's kampung. Its called 'Oyen' as in orange mispronounced by Ma's nephew. Perhaps Pa would do a series on 'Oyen' next time.

Burung & Bunga Kantan

Its a new year and this bird is celebrating and enjoying the sweetness of 'bunga kantan'.
These pics were taken at Ma's kampung in Rantau on 2nd January 2007. Enjoy...

Looked like its saying, 'Hey! Do not bother me!'

Orchids

These are pics of orchid taken by Pa at the KL Orchid Garden using his first digital camera...a Minolta DiMAGE X; a 2MP camera sometime in 2004...way before I was born.

It produces decent photos as can be seen in this series of orchid pics. Sorry, no caption as we are not botanist to identify the orchid names. Just call it by their colours, if you wish.

Kampung Stuff

These are shots of things one might find in a kampung. You might recognise some of them if you are a true blue kampung person.

See how many of these items you have in your kampung.

Going Bananas

Still going bananas...some pics from my previous collection to share.

Koleksi Pisang

Bananas seem to have a permanant place in the everyday life of Malaysians; whether for its fruit for food and source of energy and nourishment, the leave as wrapping for local kuih and the famous banana leaf in Indian restaurants or other unique and peculiar usage.

Well, I just capture them on camera...here are some.

Thats one huge 'jantung'

Take a closer look

Now this is of a different species

Just look what is attracted to it

Head dress?

Hairy ends...rasta look

In the shadows

Long arm of the bunch

'Sehati...Sejiwa' Twins?

Looking up

Alien invasion?

Hope you like them as much as I did when capturing them.

An introduction...

Some of Pa's collection of pics using his Fuji Finepix S5600. Only a 5MP prosumer digital camera but does give credible results. Take a look below.
